Interviewer: What about people that say I can’t take it anymore? They’re a month or two in and they say I just want to give up and plead guilty. What do you say to those people? Is that a mistake?
Interviewer: Yes. Do you ever have people say I can’t take it, I can’t sleep, and I just want to get it over with?
Ben Doscher: Yes, yes. I do. I do. I say ultimately that’s your choice and it’s my ethical obligation to tell you when there’s a plea offer, but I’ll tell them whether I think it’s appropriate for them to take it or when I don’t think it is. Ultimately it’s their choice and they should do what they want.
